From Herat to Vancouver:
The story of Fill & Feast
Fill & Feast began its journey in 2005 in Herat, Afghanistan, as a small catering service founded by Wasi Salihy. For 16 years, it grew into a beloved name, known for serving warm Afghan hospitality and delicious dishes like Qabuli Pulo, Mantu, kebabs, and samosas at weddings, festivals, and special events. These dishes became a true symbol of celebration and togetherness.

A new beginning after hardship
In August 2021, our lives changed forever. The Taliban takeover forced us to flee Afghanistan as refugees, leaving behind our home, business, and everything we had built. After three difficult years of rebuilding in Vancouver, learning Canadian food safety rules, and earning our FOODSAFE certifications, the decision was made to bring Fill & Feast back to life.

Authentic Afghan flavours, reimagined for you
At Fill & Feast, expect a warm, authentic, and memorable Afghan food experience that goes beyond just eating. We bring the genuine flavours and generous spirit of Afghan hospitality straight to your plate in a vibrant festival setting. Our portable food booth offers fresh, made-to-order Afghan classics, prepared using traditional family recipes from Herat. Experience bold, layered flavours that balance savory, sweet, tangy, and aromatic spices in perfect harmony, served with a smile and a story. All our ingredients are halal-certified, and our team is FOODSAFE certified, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
